Mike was born and raised in Connecticut before settling in San Diego, California in 1998. He began writing music in the mid 90's as he was traveling throughout the US as a Computer Programmer/Analyst - Consultant. During this time, Mike also taught himself how to play guitar.
After Mike settled on the West Coast, he started performing at local coffee houses and open mics a few times a month beginning in August, 2005. He now performs at many of San Diego's premier wineries, resorts, restaurants, and lounges. Mike can also be hired to play private and corporate events.
His sound has been described as that of Jack Johnson’s laid back soothing style, but if you ask him he'll say "I really have no idea. I've been influenced by so many different artists. I can't put my finger on it. You tell me! I'm just having fun." Let's just say a little surf / meets folk / meets rock / meets pop.
Mike's first album 'Keep On' was released in 2006. After a few years of performing and promoting his first project, he released his second album 'Enjoy the Journey' in 2009. After an 8 year absence of writing, Mike's 3rd album 'Good Morning Afternoon' was released in October, 2017. Mike’s original music is based on his personal life and experiences. He has noted “I’m not concerned about my original music becoming well known or popular. These projects were simply something I needed to pursue for my own enjoyment”.
For the time being, Mike has decided to focus more on covering the music he loves. His live performances consist mainly of these tunes spanning 9 decades. There is no denying how much fun he has when he’s performing live.

June, 2010: Mike's music from his album ‘Keep On’ was used in an independent documentary film about same-sex marriage. It chronicles one couple over the last 8 years as they have had to struggled to find ways to stay together, living legally in the same country. One partner is American and the other is German, and because they are gay the US does not recognize them as spouses with the right to legally immigrate in the German partner. So, for the last 16 years they have been moving around the globe, stringing together temporary solutions to their immigration-rights dilemma. It is a fascinating case, sociologically, and a heartbreaking one in terms of equality in America and human rights. The film is called "Excluded: Nowhere To Go".
